      Both parts of this two-part series are taken from my book The Enoch Factor: The Sacred Art of Knowing God. I will add only a little commentary on a few of the beliefs listed below. My commentary is wrapped in parenthesis. • The Christian religion is the correct religion. That is to say, all other religions are wrong and the people who believe.   Neo-orthodox Christian theologians, led by Reinhold Niebuhr, made a point of emphasizing the Hebraic (as opposed to the Hellenic) dimension of Christianity.

      The Christian Bible has two sections, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament is the original Hebrew Bible, the sacred scriptures of the Jewish faith, written at . It began as a sect or movement within Judaism in the first century CE, when an itinerant rabbi named Jesus began his ministry as a teacher and healer in the Galilee lake district of what is now northern Israel. Christian Fundamentalism is a conservative movement within American Protestantism which aims to uphold traditional Christian beliefs in the face of many modernist challenges.
